Walking in Palmy

While I do have a few blog post ideas brewing, I thought I’d let your minds rest easy for now by just enjoying some pictures rather than reading text.

I’ve been doing a lot of walking lately, in part to get my bearings in this part of Palmerston North that I saw little of last time, but also just to take in the beauty of the nature in my own backyard. I’m still in awe of how close some of these scenes are to a city, and how the sun doesn’t fully set till after 9 p.m.

Most of these were taken on the Manawatu River Pathway, which runs along the perimeter of the city alongside, well, the Manawatu River.

Enjoy.

And finally, something a little different, although it still qualifies under this category as I was on a walk when I took it. My U.S. and NZ worlds colliding:IMG_0287

Thanks, Carol; I’m glad you’re following. I would love to see the photos you and Bruce could take down here; these were just taken on my phone! Give my love to the dogs.

Look for a new blog post in a day or two!
